Hey, There!
I’m A.R. Garrett

WRITER– By excavating facts and dissecting mythology, my writing shines a light on some of the most prolific ancient warrior women lost in the shadows of our history books. Through intrigue and thrilling adventure, take the journey with me to listen to the unspoken truth from some of the bravest women you will ever read about.

The history books are full of great warrior men throughout the ages, and I love reading about them all. But women were not allowed to be recognized for their contributions in war, politics, inventions, or god forbid the—arts.

My books won’t be filled with just women. Brothers and sisters will both have a place on the battlefield together. With some of my favorite epic sagas like Game of Thrones and The Last Kingdom, I hope to create a similar feeling with a slightly dark but entirely fascinating read.

READER– Books are like music. They soothe the soul, change your mood, annoy you at times, but I need both in my life.
I want to FEEL something when I pick up a book and flip through the pages. It doesn’t need madness, swordfights, unthinkable intrigue, and fatal arrows shot in the face like Henry V. Well… actually, IT DOES. But it must also hit on all levels: developments that are impossible to anticipate, characters with complexity for days, cerebral antidotes filled with historical nuances that will be rewarding on every spectrum. Yes, please!

I love to read all genres, but my heart soars for historical fiction, historical fantasy, beautifully written narratives, a journey through a riveting thriller, mystery, or anything dark and twisty.
Follow me to see what I’m reading, writing, and watching. And if you ever want to write something of your own, I’ll help you put ideas to paper!
